Classic High Tea - 7 December 2025
Report and photos Jim Paterson

From across Scotland - members from near and far
Wet
and windy this year for the 40 crew members who arrived from all
corners of Scotland, for the annual High Tea celebration at the Royal
George Hotel in Perth.A lot of stories and tall tales over our meal
raised a few laughs while chatting about what is in store for 2026.
Some new ideas also picked up from members so lookout for possible
additional events to be added to our new year calendar.
Once again the Royal George Hotel in Perth gave us their large dining
room, the room we have used for several years, as it allows sufficient
spacing between tables.
It
was good to meet our regular members and some new faces. A few of our
committee members turned out with John Stuart, Tom Niven and Karen
Wilson, George and Jean Shand joining us.
We talked of our
planned tours for next year, starting with the Red Hackle in May.
Organisers Ron & Jan Adam have the route drafted, part checked, and
places to visit on route identified. Following on from this years
Grampian Gallop, organiser George Shand is heading into the Ochil Hills
in 2026. Starting and finishing at Macdairmid Park, home of St Johnstone
football club in Perth. George has found some exciting roads across
this landscape, ready for you to explore. Once again passing places of
interest, to visit and enjoy.
In September we head into the
Scottish border country. Organisers Ralph Forbes and myself have a
route that promises some new roads to drive, many with spectacular
views from the hilltops we cross. Once again points of interest on the
way ideal to stop and refresh.

The Club wishes ALL our members and everyone who is a classic car enthusiast, a
