announces the start of Spring, with longer and hopefully warmer days.

Time to
get your classic out of hibernation and a bit of TLC to get it to start
after the long slumber.
If you
wondered where our Jan and Feb issues got to, I have to
apologise. Your editor was in overload mode and missed his deadlines.
New head gasket and reset timing chain should see a smooth return to
the events.
Berwick
Classic
2
& 3 May
Berwick Classic Rally is often known as a favourite in the Classic and Targa calendar
This year they will introduce a new class which will consist of Tests Only
this will give those who do not like the regularities an opportunity to
enjoy the event. The Regularities that they use for the main event will
be carefully thought out as to avoid mistakes and inconsistencies.
Insurance this year is estimated at around £65. BDMC would encourage you to look into your own cover prior to the event.
Regs and Entries will open mid March.
Stirling and District Classic Car Show
- 10 May
Stirling
and District Classic Car Club announce that the 2026 Show, in
aid
of charities, will take place on Sunday 10th May 2026.

Red Hackle Tour
3 May - Regs now available


|
Our
opener for the season and tribute tour to the Black Watch. This
favourite in the calendar will start
and finish again at the Black Watch Museum Perth.
Organisers
Ron & Jan Adam have a new route planned, this time heading
east out of Perth with visits to interesting places on our
tour.

ANNIVERSARY
MONTE 100 CLASSIQUE Jedburgh - 30 January
A team from CCHMSC manned the Jedburgh control
point to clock in the
Historique and Classique cars as they headed for Hull and the
ferry to Rotterdam on Friday 30th January.
We setup our control point in the car park just
off the A68 beside Jedburgh Abbey.

committee were
assisted by Geoff Atkinson a keen classic car enthusiast and club
member Willie Macleod, also a keen classic car supporter.

Spring now officially arrived, it is time to look at events that your
'classic' can join and take to the road for perhaps the first time this
year. Here are a list of forthcoming events starting shortly
|
ERDC
Forth Road Bridge Event - 28 March
Tour through Fife to include a trip to the top of
the Forth Road Bridge.
The
event will start from the Kelpies in Falkirk and include a halt at
North Queensferry where you will have the opportunity to see the Forth
Bridge close up and if you have a head for heights travel in a lift to
a viewing platform at the top of the northern tower.

The run will then head
north into Fife before finishing at Broxden services in Perth.

RSAC pleased to announce that their Spring Run
will take place on Sunday 12 April 2026
They are delighted that the event will be hosted
this year by the
Moulsdale Foundation at 123 Westerhill Road Bishopbriggs G64 2QR where
the run will start and finish.
This new venue will also enable them to devise
different route options from that in the past
The event is open to cars of all ages, Veteran,
Vintage ,Classic and Modern.

North Berwick Rotary Classic Car Tour - 26 April
You
are invited to join the 2026 North Berwick Rotary Classic Car Tour for
classic and interesting cars of any age which is being held on Sunday
26th April 2026. Entries will be limited to 60 cars.
The route
is 130 miles long, almost exactly the same as 2025, and we will be
stopping for lunch at the Tinto Hotel, Symington, near Biggar, and
again finishing back at The Marine Hotel, North Berwick.

Our
2026 tour will be heading west to Biggar. We shortened the
route, and omitted the coffee stop.
Those changes were well received, so we will be following that revised
format in 2026. |

Perthshire
Classic Car Tour - 26 April
 |
The tour
starts at McDiarmid Park, Perth and then heads north through rural
Perthshire along the banks of Loch Tay to Tyndrum and Glencoe where
lunch is arranged at the Isles of Glencoe Hotel. |
The
return route will
be south through Appin and Lochawe to Tyndrum before finishing at
Crieff Hydro Hotel in time for The End of Tour Dinner and Awards
Ceremony at 5.30pm, ending a great day out. Click link to enter

Spey
Valley Charity Car Tour - 10 May
The
Spey Valley Classic, Sports and EV Car Tour will be held on Sunday 10th
May 2026 and is organised by The Rotary Club of Spey Valley Charity
SCIO. The event will start and finish in Aviemore.
They are planning a comprehensive drive, starting in Aviemore, of
approximately 150 miles to show you the best of Highland Scotland, with
mile after mile of quiet and scenic roads. The tour will conclude with
a meal, presentations and prize giving. |
