Perthshire Classic Car Festival  - 21 April

Rotary Club of Blairgowrie are organising the first Perthshire Classic Car Festival which is to take place on Saturday 21st April 2018. 

The object of the Festival is to provide a first class classic car show for owners and the public and to raise as much money as possible for our charities, Cancer Research UK,  Alzheimer Scotland and The Rotary Foundation.

The main location for the event will be the extensive grounds the magnificent Scone Palace just north of the City of Perth.  The main attraction will be a selection of special classic cars from all over Scotland. You can apply to join here
Parade Car Application

In addition there will be a classic car parade in the City of Perth which will start and finish at Scone Palace and many iconic vehicles and other attractions.

HRH Prince Michael of Kent will view all the Parade and Display Cars at Scone Palace.

Scone Palace Classic Car Day - Saturday 21st April 2018

Classic cars are invited to attend Scone Palace from 10am onwards, to be in place to greet the parade cars back from the City of Perth.  Alongside the classic cars will be the most famous car in the world, iconic racing cars, classic motor cycles, military bands, an air display and a great deal more.

The Festival support group, would like to invite classic cars whose owners would like to attend.  They are aiming for cars  with as much variety as possible.  Cars and crews to arrive between (8am and 10am) on the day and be on display until 4.30pm.

We are asking display car drivers to raise at least £10 each for our charities with Gift Aid where appropriate.  Entry to the Palace grounds will be free for display cars and their passengers.  Scone Palace will charge their standard entry price for tours of the Palace itself.

Scone Palace Drive it Day - Sunday 22nd April 2018

2017 saw the first Blairgowrie Drive It Day attract 70 classic cars for a memorable driving experience raising £17,500 for charities.

For 2018 entrants will experience 120 or 140 miles of quiet highland country roads with a lunch stop near Banchory and supper at Scone Palace. 

Assembling at Blairgowrie Golf Club at 9am where coffee and bacon rolls will be available (£5.00). After a briefing at 9.30am cars will be waved off through Blairgowrie and up Glenshee to Braemar. Then on towards Banchory on the beautiful B976 with an optional loop over Geallaig Hill rejoining the main route at our lunch stop at the imposing Raemoir House (£8.50 a head).
