Annual General Meeting - 20 March 2013

The Annual General Meeting for the 2011/2012 year of the Club took place at The Royal Hotel in Perth on Wednesday 20th March 2013.

The meeting covered the year ending March 2012, with the previous years AGM meeting minutes being accepted.

Club President Jim Paterson covered the years activities which had started with the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique in January which moved from Glasgow to Clydebank, to join in the burgh's 125th year anniversary celebrations. The Heritage Run to Dumfries and Drymen attracted 55 entries altogether.

We followed club member John Stuart's adventure to the Rally Costa Brava in April, and the Strathendrick Drive it Day the same month.

Tour of the Cairns in May, starting and finishing in Edzell was our next event which was enjoyed by 32 starters. This led into the annual International Autoecosse in June where 39 crews met in Longtown for a the start of a trip round Scotland. The BBQ in July was nearly washed out but the flames kept on going. Circuit of the North auto distance event was a 2 day event attracting 24 starters at the end of the classic year.

We finished the year of with a high Tea at the royal hotel in Perth, where many tall stories were related.

The Report and Accounts for the year ended March 2012 were presented and accepted. The club is in a healthy financial position in line with the Club's objective of offering affordable classic motoring events.   Membership at the same time was some 350 with some 700 people now receiving the monthly eNewsletter. The website continues to attract a wide range of visitors from across the globe, with daily peaks in excess of 400 a day in the run up to major events such as the Monte Historique.

The Committee Members for the forthcoming year were elected, with Ralph Forbes who has been a great help in organising the 2013 Monte Heritage Ecosse to Monaco tour joining, as did Bob Shearer who is also a keen classic enthusiast.
Douglas Anderson stood down from the existing committee, and provided an insight to the work he will be doing to promote classic motorsport this coming year.

The principal office bearers of the club were updated, again due to Douglas Anderson stepping down from the committee and the role as Company Secretary. Roger Fry agreed to take on the role along with his continued position as Treasurer. Jim Paterson also agreed to continue as President, all of which were approved by the members.

Finally the 2013 calendar was reviewed, before the meeting closed at 20:50.
