M-Sport Tour visit - 23 October

Some of our club members gather in the Trophy Room at Dovenby Hall
Eleven members of the club met up at Dovenby Hall near Cockermouth for our tour of the M-Sport facility. Our tour guide Roger Fisher took us round the factory, building rally cars for M-Sport, Ford, privateers and others, competing around the globe from club to WRC level.

Up close to a Ford Raptor T1, as rallied  in the Dakar desert rally is something to behold. Hurtling across the Sahara desert in this must rate as full on extreme rallying.

Find out what goes on and where it all happens as we see powertrain units, geaboxes and diffs being built, the new spaceframe vehicles that meet the current and forthcoming 2027 regulations.
A great evening that is a peek at what goes on behind the scenes to keep a WRC rally team in operation.
Sneak Peek - 2026 Calendar

Calendar of events for 2026, for the club.

Hopefully you will find all or some of the events a good reason to get your classic on the road and see a bit of the Scottish countryside.

We are working on other events to add to this calendar so keep looking at our website for the latest version of the planned calendar.

Full details and Regs etc for CCHMSC events will appear closer to the time of each event.

We agreed that the cost of living crisis is still a significant issue, so for this year your club will continue to subsidise part of the setup costs of each event, carrying on the agreement made at a previous AGM to use our bank balance toward making motorsport more affordable, while maintaining the features, variety and social, that members asked we incorporate in our events.
We hope this will encourage you to bring out your classic, or modern car, on the club tours in 2026                              .  Sneak Peek calendar
