GNWC   -  23 to 25 January
If you have always wanted to do the Monte Carlo Rally but can't afford it or spare the time, try the Great North Winter Challenge, "Scotland's Monte" which will start from three locations, Inverness, Aberdeen, and Glasgow. The event also celebrates the 60th anniversary of the post war restart of the Monte Carlo where the  Glasgow entries started on 27 Jan 1949.

Argyll Spring Fling  -  29 March
In keeping with keeping the cost of your sport as competitive as possible, your club has revised this back to a one day event, as in previous years. However we have designed two tours, one for the older car that may prefer a shorter route, and a more demanding route for the driver of the more modern classic. The choice will be yours. Start will be at Balloch Castle, and your entry will include breakfast, lunch and meal at the finish, plus prizes. More soon.

La Carrera Caledonia  -  6 and 7 June
This may be the final time this event runs, so make sure it's on your list of events to do. As always Jim McGuiness will take you on some new and some "weel kent" roads. Will start once again at Gretna.

Stobs Classic   -   14 June
HBCC event at Stobs Camp near Hawick. A fun filled day of tests which was a big success in 2008. The 2009 event may have some extra treats for competitors, so keep a lookout for news on this event.

Deeside Way   -   1 August
Following the success of this tour in 2008, a new route over this outstanding countryside around the River Dee will again be treat for the classic car owner

La Carrera Trans Alpina   -   4 to 11 October
Jim McGuiness is forging links with continental Europe and your Club is promoting the event which will take crews to Geneva and across the Alpine passes to  Barcelonnette and Monte Carlo before heading north to Cuneo, Reims, and home across the channel. More details soon
International Auto Ecosse -  19th September
New home and date for an old favourite. Historic rally event starting at Balloch Castle with tests, which will include the Rest and be Thankful. We will join up with some International Classic Car enthusiasts on the day. Full details soon.

The North East 25  -  24th / 25th October
Once again a chance to cram in 25 hours of Classic Rally fun into one day. SDMC annual event with regularities, navigational, and tests.
Other events are being investigated but we hope this collection will get your mouth watering and a reason to tidy up your Classic over the winter months.
