New
format for Argyll Classic Run
29 March 2009
West Dunbartonshire Council’s, Lord Provost; Ambassador and
Spokesperson for Cultural Development, Denis Agnew will once again be
part of the partnership starting The National Park
Argyll Classic Car Run at 10.00am at Balloch Castle, Loch
Lomond on Sunday 29th March 2009.

This year CCHMSC have chosen two routes, one in excess of 150
miles that routes to Scotland's second national park, The
Cairngorm National Park, where lunch will be available before
continuing with the run that will bring crews back to Balloch
for refreshments and prizes. The other route, suitable for cars
or crews who would rather keep the mileage down, will be around
100 miles and keep within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National
Park Authority. |

Over 50 classic car owners are expected to enjoy the pleasures of
the open road and outstanding scenery of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs
National Park and over to the Cairngorm National Park Authority
Organiser Jim Paterson, from Caledonian Classic and Historic Motor
Sport Club, said "This years route will take crews over some
stunning Scottish roads with outstanding views."

Clear roads and stunning views |
Denis Agnew is always keen to initiate and support cultural and
historic events in West Dunbartonshire and The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Authority. CCHMSC are grateful for their support in organising this
event.
‘Balloch’, which means Gateway in Gaelic, is such a vital and
magnificent tourist location for the area and is indeed the gateway to
some of Scotland’s finest landscapes. It is the perfect start and
finish point for this year’s Classic Car Run. |
Carron Tobin, Executive Director of Strategy and Relationships, Loch
Lomond & Trossachs National Park Authority, is delighted to be
supporting the National Park Argyll Classic Car Run following the success of
previous year’s events. The run is a perfect way to showcase some of the
finest scenery in Scotland and admire some classic cars along the way.
